When myPlates developed a new algorithm which instantly creates unique and available ideas for personalising a number plate based on just a few questions, they contacted us to help spread the word.

So we went back to basics, back to the reason why the algorithm was developed. We put ourselves in the shoes of a customer who’s name is ‘Smith’ and unfortunately being a common name all the good plates were taken… so what would we do?  maybe we’d ask our mates of number plate ideas, maybe that would help?…..?!

In a new campaign for myPlates we went back to the drawing board and created a new strategy, a new direction based on a simple truth. you see, every personalised number plate has a story behind it and that story can often be as unique as the number plate itself – so we’re telling that story – in an entertaining way.

This integrated campaign challenges people to think differently about their number plates, to make the Ordinary, Unordinary with a better plate.

After all, who wants to be ordinary?

Dealership Marketing

Marketing in Car Dealerships is not easy.

We discovered, you need to be subtle.

Why? well dealerships are often governed by the ‘Brand’ for example, nearly every square foot of an Audi dealership has to look like the other Audi Dealerships – and that makes sense.

However, it makes it hard for companies like myPlates to market their product to a market prime for buying a number plate.

So we had to think a bit differently.

We visited various dealerships around NSW to find out their thoughts and to look for opportunities. What we noticed is that Dealerships are becoming more of an experience with Coffee Hubs, WiFi Hot Spots, Self Serve Drinks etc – kinda-like a Qantas Club Lounge.

And here’s where we discovered our opportunity.

When you purchase a car, its a long process and there’s a bit of down time where customers are waiting in the Dealership. So we came up with subtle ways to get our marketing into the dealership without raising alarms from the parent Brand.

Sure, it’s a bit sneaky – but the Dealerships love it.
And myPlates loved the results.

Years on, myPlates and the dealerships are still using the material.

OKI Printer Campaign

Did you know that OKI pioneered LED Printing Technology?

No?, neither did we, in fact – we didn’t even know it existed!

And that’s where our insight came from. It seemed that no-one really knew and if they did, they didn’t know the benefits that LED printing technology offered.

So we created a campaign whereby the LED lights (OKI’s unique point of difference) created icons which represented the direct benefits to the consumer (Razor Sharp Images) and to the reseller (Increased Profits).

The campaign was rolled out through targeted Press Ads, In Store Posters, Online Banner Ads and we even created a dedicated Micro Site.

EPSON ADVERTISING SINCE 2009

We’ve been creating Ads for Epson since 2009 and we’re still going.

The nice thing about working with a great client like Epson for so long is that you not only get a great understanding of their products and technology but you get to build awesome relationships with some great people.

We’ve learnt about Projectors, Large Format Printing, 3LCD, DuraBrite INK and so much more – in fact, did you know that Epson developed the first printer to go into space? they did – we’ve seen it in their board room.

When you build a deep understanding of a clients technology you can develop some cool campaigns which really hit the mark.
