Epson approached me to develop a campaign for their groundbreaking 4K Laser Projectors, featuring the innovative 4K Crystal Motion technology. The challenge? Highlight the key benefits of this cutting-edge technology in a way that resonates with both tech-savvy and premium-end users.

After an in-depth analysis of the product and its target audience, I crafted a striking campaign centred on the unique Crystal Motion technology. This approach translated a technically complex concept into a bold, attention-grabbing core visual that Epson can own across all campaign elements.

The result was a visually stunning and informative campaign that effectively communicated Epson’s unique selling proposition, positioning their 4K Laser Projectors as a game-changer in the world of projection technology.

AFL NSW Number Plates

myPlates enlisted me to design a range of number plates featuring all 18 AFL teams. The challenge? Seamlessly integrate each team’s unique brand guidelines into the strict technical requirements of NSW number plates while ensuring compliance with camera visibility standards.

I reviewed and adapted each team’s brand guidelines to create supporter plates that highlight each team’s unique identity while ensuring a cohesive look across the new myPlates AFL range.

The final designs are bold, clean, and highly functional, standing out on NSW roads. These plates offer AFL fans a new way to ‘show more passion’ while adhering to strict technical specifications.

EPSON UV Label Printer Campaign

The Epson UV label printer is not just your average label printer. This printer can create spot UV varnishes in either matt or gloss all in the one pass – it’s what makes it unique. Epson’s brief was to create a campaign that highlights these benefits in a way that the trade will understand.

To address this, I collaborated with a 3D artist to create a high-resolution render that highlighted the UV effect on a beer bottle label. The campaign emphasised the contrast between matte and gloss finishes, showcasing the printer’s precision and versatility. The beer bottle was chosen because of its common use of UV varnish effects.

The campaign effectively communicated Epson’s unique selling proposition (USP) in a way that was visually striking and technically informative.

XFORCE, a leader in aftermarket exhaust systems, prides itself on the motto “Enthusiasts for Enthusiasts.” As a fellow car enthusiast, I had the pleasure of working with XFORCE to develop targeted marketing materials for their upcoming SEMA Show in the U.S.

The objective was to create strategic product marketing for two audiences—B2B (businesses like retailers and installers) and B2C (individual car enthusiasts). The materials needed to drive business partnerships while appealing to consumers passionate about performance upgrades.

When Dural’s best cycling shop ‘The Odd Spoke‘ asked us to design their next batch of cycling kit for the shop, we were thrilled.

Seeking a fresh, colourful and modern design for the season, we designed a kit that ended up being a best seller.

There’s nothing better than a beer after a day on the trails. Armed with this insight, we design some custom Odd Spoke ‘No Fear Beer Gear’. Shirts you can proudly wear anywhere after a day of ripping up the trails.

Dealership Marketing

Marketing in Car Dealerships is not easy.

We discovered, you need to be subtle.

Why? well dealerships are often governed by the ‘Brand’ for example, nearly every square foot of an Audi dealership has to look like the other Audi Dealerships – and that makes sense.

However, it makes it hard for companies like myPlates to market their product to a market prime for buying a number plate.

So we had to think a bit differently.

We visited various dealerships around NSW to find out their thoughts and to look for opportunities. What we noticed is that Dealerships are becoming more of an experience with Coffee Hubs, WiFi Hot Spots, Self Serve Drinks etc – kinda-like a Qantas Club Lounge.

And here’s where we discovered our opportunity.

When you purchase a car, its a long process and there’s a bit of down time where customers are waiting in the Dealership. So we came up with subtle ways to get our marketing into the dealership without raising alarms from the parent Brand.

Sure, it’s a bit sneaky – but the Dealerships love it.
And myPlates loved the results.

Years on, myPlates and the dealerships are still using the material.

We met the guys at XFORCE Performance Exhausts through our mates at MotorCulture. We’ve been working with the great guys at XFORCE to develop ongoing marketing material and general marketing advice.

Whats cool about this company is that they have a product that is genuinely unique. The clever guys at XFORCE created a VAREX system which allows the driver to ‘turn up’ the volume of the exhaust at a push of a button – but that’s just the tip of the ice berg.
